On a Sunday, probably 2 or 3 weeks ago we briefly spoke on the road in Sydney whilst you were riding your bike and I was driving my car – a Porsche Boxster. My girlfriend was taking photos of you on her mobile phone and we said that we were from Brazil and you said that you were going to Africa after going around Australia. I just want to say well done, mate! Your courage and willingness to travel all these miles on your bike and see the world on 2 wheels is one of my dreams too, and it was great to see you doing exactly that! I’ve got a racing bike at them moment – a CBR600RR and always go on road trips on the weekends…. nothing really compared to your odyssey, but I love it! I’ve got 3 photos from you from our encounter – please let me know how can I send them to you – drop me an email and tell me yours so I can flick them to you. I’ve saved one of them as a screensaver on my computer at work just to remind me of the great adventure life can be for the brave ones, like you. Hey Maetz, was für eine erlebnisreiche Zeit ich hier in Down Under mit Dir zusammen erleben durfte, eine Adventure in die Tierwelt (the Kangoroos wont miss us)und die unglaublich schöne Landschaft von NSW haben mich sehr beeindruckt. Oh, wie wäre ich froh noch ein paar weitere Wochen mit Dir durch dieses wundervolle Land ziehen zu können, aber eben die liebe Heimat wartet auf mich. Ich wünsche Dir weiterhin einen erfolgreichen Trip, einen guten Start mit dem Vorhaben "Africa" und vorallem eine schöne Weihnachtszeit und Rutsch ins 10. See ya.

Hi Mathias! It's good to see you are fine and enjoying the outback and wetlands of what is technically considered "Asia" by some geographers. Wow that bike just keeps going and going, even in the back of a van! Nice set up. Broke both ankles in summer in Colorado but all is well now. Well, almost. Back on bike for winter break. It's so fun to see where you are.
